Love Note #27

Dear Love,

The other day I fell and thought I broke my ankle. As I laid in the grass trying to decide if I could get up on my own or not I called you and asked if you could come home and take me to the ER. I felt terrible because your out in the field this week and your the man in charge but at the time I honestly thought I had a broken ankle. Thank you for making it the funnest ER trip to date. Thank you for wheeling me around in the wheelchair and not running me into things, thank you for the Starbucks while we waited. Love your face!

Love Note #26

Dear Husband,

Last night you brought the memory of popcorn & pizza parties back to me and you gave me an amazing motivational speech during my nightly walk. Thanks big time for being the wonderful man that you are and always finding a way to make me laugh. Love you!

P.S. We took this picture for you this morning before school :)

Love Note #25

Dear Husband,

This morning we took our sweet baby girl to her first day of Kindergarten. Remember when she was so tiny and had that perfect little heart on her lips, I used to say it was because she was made with lots of love. Our baby girl is growing up and there's nothing we can do about it. There is no other person I would rather share such beautiful children with than you. I love you to the moon.

Love Note #24

Dear Husband,

Thank you for my new kicks. They make me run super fast and are incredibly cute. Today you locked me out of the house and made me dance to get back in. I love the little traditions that we have even if they make me (or you) look ridiculous in the process. Love your face!

August Goals

August is finally here! I didn't do too hot on my July goals. July was a busy month for me with a two week visit from my youngest brother, a visit to Gulf Shores, Alabama and trying to spend as much time with Kaylee as I can before she goes off to kindergarten next week. So here's last months goals and how I did....

1. Finish up 30 days of love notes to the husband
2. Cut out all fast food
3. Journal daily
4. Register for fall classes
5. Lose 5 lbs.
6. Blog more

My August goals will hopefully be a little easier to accomplish since things are starting to settle down around here....

1. Finish up 30 days of love notes to the husband
2. No fast food
3. Organize all of my craft supplies
4. Revamp our dining room table
5. Lose 5 lbs.
6. Read at least two more books before classes start and I don't have time

Hopefully this month I will be able to accomplish them all! Hope you have a lovely Monday!

This afternoon while we were taking down the pool in the backyard you started a mud fight with me, if it wasn't for Harper joining us I would have totally taken you down and you know it. You should also go get your Bieber Fever checked out sometime soon, I'm starting to worry about you. Love your face.

Love Note #20

Dear Husband,

Tonight you made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to pass out. Reason #465 why I love being married to you. Thank you for saying I could name our future child Beezus, I know you only did it because there will be no more baby Branam's for us. Nice try though. Love your face.

Love & Robots,

101 Things About Me!!

I recently saw this over at Lunie Bin and thought it would be fun, however I don't really think I'm that interesting so coming up with 101 things may be a bit difficult. We'll see how it goes...

  1. There were only 8 of us in my graduating class, crazy huh?
  2. I moved out of my mom's house on my 18th birthday so I could take care of my great grandfather who had Alzheimer's disease.
  3. When I was pregnant with Harper I ate peanut butter straight from the jar.....often. I'm still tempted to do it sometimes.
  4. I have had 7 different cars since I was 16, I am now 27.
  5. I like to read.....allot. {Nerd Alert!!}
  6. The first thing I ever learned to sew was a potholder. My great grandma taught me.
  7. I only have a couple of close girl friends.
  8. It takes allot for me to trust someone.
  9. I met & married the red headed fox all within 6 weeks and it was the best decision ever. Our love story can be found here.
  10. I have quiet a few siblings, 1 brother, 1 half brother, 2 step sisters and 2 adopted sisters.
  11. I am the oldest of them all.
  12. I'm not a big fan of milk, unless peanut butter is involved.
  13. I get annoyed very easily.
  14. I used to get up and go to my great grandparents house almost every morning before school so I could have breakfast with my great grandfather.
  15. Turning 30 freaks me out a little, thank goodness I still have a few years.
  16. Having a kid that starts school this year freaks me out too, why does the time have to pass so quickly?
  17. Every summer growing up the whole family would go camping at the river for 11 days and it still remains to be some of the best memories I have of my childhood.
  18. If we named our children after the places they were conceived then Harper would be named Georgia and Kaylee would be named ghetto ass Killeen Pershing. Good thing we didn't.
  19. I carry pink pepper spray on my key chain.
  20. Driving at night makes me anxious.
  21. I love pistachio ice cream.
  22. I have to sleep with the fan on, it freezes the red headed fox out.
  23. No one can make me laugh like the red headed fox.
  24. I think of my brother as one of my best friends, he gets me.
  25. I think I'll always be a daddy's girl.
  26. I could watch Teen Witch over and over and over again.
Holy smokes that took a while to come up with all those. I'll do another installment again soon. Thanks for reading if you made it this far!

I have a confession to make....

I have never read To Kill a Mockingbird.

I know, shocking right? Hasn't everyone read that book? Some of you may even be thinking "Wait a minute, isn't your son named Harper Lee?" Well hold on right there. Yes my son's name is Harper Lee, but he wasn't named after the author. He was named after his great great grandfather {Sammie Harper} and his dad {Christopher Lee}. So there you have it, no reading of Harper Lee books for me, that is until yesterday.

The red headed fox and I were laying in bed and I had just finished up Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris (True Blood anyone?) and I was looking at my stack of books I keep on the bed headboard. I picked up To Kill a Mockingbird and flipped through it but didn't really give it the attention it deserved. I mean come on, I had just finished a Vampire/Werewolf masterpiece (ok, lets be real, that last book wasn't near as good as I had hoped) but still. When I went to put it back in the stack the red headed fox looked over to me and said "Is that To Kill a Mockingbird? That's a great book, GREAT book" nodded his head and went back to what he was doing. Excuse me?!? You mean to tell me that the red headed fox (who doesn't read near as much as I do if ever) has read To Kill a Mockingbird and I haven't? Well, you all know I had to read it then.

So if you'll excuse me I have some reading to do. Hope you have a lovely Sunday night!

Dear Love,

With you being out in the field and me being somewhat sick all week I've been slacking on your love notes. Thanks for making me food love notes this week and always making me smile. Love your face.

I'm Sickly...

It started two days ago with crazy itchy ears. You know what I'm talking about, that way down deep itch in your ear that you can't quiet get to. Then yesterday I started getting a sore throat and today it's full on body/head aches, sore throat, itchy ears, crazy stopped up nose. All this in the middle of JULY!?!? So today I have been taking Theraflu and trying to take it easy (with the exception of taking the kids to the movies and to the red headed fox's championship softball game which they WON!), who am I kidding there is no taking it easy with two little ones running around. Hopefully I can kick whatever it is that I have and get back to my normal self in a few days but until then I hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week.

xoxo,

Love Note #17

Dear Husband,

Today I wrote you a little post-it note on a Hello Kitty post-it and you wrote back and drew a mustache on it which in return made me giggle. You also kicked some major ass tonight in the championship softball game. So proud of you and the Four Four Deuce for winning post softball champions. You are AWESOME.

Oh my goodness they are DIVINE! I found the recipe here. I originally planned to take pictures as I baked them but I got excited and forgot. Let me know if you try them and what you think. Happy Baking!

Love Note #15

Dear Husband,

Tonight you took me to see glittery vampires and didn't complain too much (although you looked like you were sitting through torture the entire time). Thank you for indulging me. I promise you can pick the movie next time and I'll even throw in a package of sour patch kids. Love your face.

Love & Robots,

Love Note #14

Dear Husband,

Yesterday you told me that you wanted to grow a really good beard so we could call you Angus and the thought of that being your name makes me giggle. I'm also happy that you played golf like Tiger Woods yesterday (minus the whores ladies of course) and brought home a cute little trophy. You are a never ending bucket of smiles and I love you Angus.

Love Note #13

Dear Husband,

Last night you made me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes. You also shook what your mama gave you all around the living room trying to make the kids laugh. I think in that moment I fell a little bit more in love with you. I like your beard silly man.

Blog Awards

Over the weekend I was given two different blog awards by two very lovely ladies. The first one is the "Blog Buddies Award" from Gina, if you haven't checked out her blog then you really should. She's awesome! :)

The second award is "The Versatile Blogger" award from the fabulous Courtney. She's another one that you should really check out if you haven't already. The rules for this one is to first thank the person who passed it on to you (Thank you Courtney!!) and list seven things about yourself.

1. I grew up in a small town in Texas and by small town I mean itsy bitsy. My graduating class only consisted of eight people.
2. I love hot apple cider any time of the year.
3. I am really shy around people I don't know.
4. I love to read. I can get lost in a book for hours.
5. I only use Gain detergent. The smell of it reminds me of my childhood and my grandmother.
6. I love to craft any and everything but haven't had near as much time for it lately as I would like.
7. With the exception of Canada, I've never been out of the country.

I am passing both of these awards on to all my lovely blog readers. I would love to learn more about all of you!! Thank you Gina and Courtney, you two are awesome!

Love Note # 9, 10 & 11

Dear Husband,

Thank you for a perfect weekend. I think the best part was seeing how excited Kaylee was about the fireworks with Harper's enthusiasm about the pool coming in a close second. Even though your sunburn has you looking like Mr. Crabs I still think your the hottest man around. Love your face!

Love Note #8

Dear Husband,

Tonight you shared one of the few "heart warming" stories from one of your Iraq deployments. When you were telling me the story your eyes lit up and in that moment I was reminded how proud of you I am. I adore your ability to find the silver lining in it all even when you are sent half way around the world. I love you.

Love & Robots,

JULY is here!!
